2. Prior to being permitted to use any part of #ShakeIt for Self-Acceptance!™, you willl need to attain a license. The general process:
3. You will need to adhere to pertinent laws and any other aspects that are recommended or necessary for your event. You may need to acquire permits for location, sound/amplification, and/or more aspects pertaining to your event. Attaining insurance coverage will be required (if you need a referral, one can be provided). All legal and permission aspects will be your responsibility.
Although flash mobs look fun and spontaneous, they typically require detailed planning and/or legal consultation. Organizers may find the following article or book written by Ruth Carter, a lawyer who specializes in flash mobs, to be helpful. She is also available for consultations.
4. Link to the dance tutorial would be supplied only after the application process has concluded, documents signed, and fees paid.

The purpose of the #ShakeIt for Self-Acceptance!™ movement is to honor the message of empowering, strengthening or celebrating body, soul, and self-acceptance and inspiring, motivating, and/or education through positivity and hope. This includes but is not limited to body positive and self-acceptance themes in addition to related educational components including but not limited to disordered eating, weight-stigma, eating disorders, and self-esteem building.
